They give a postponement of tax payment until March 20

The General Administration of Revenue (DGI) has extended until next Wednesday, March 20, the deadline for submitting tax returns and payments and thereby fulfilling your tax obligations.

This extension was established by Executive Decree no. 14, approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The original deadline expired on March 15, 2024.

Taxpayers will be able to use the e-Tax 2.0 digital system fulfill payments.

According to the document, reports due by March 31, 2024 will retain their original deadline.

In a statement, the DGI reported that this measure is based on statutory provisions such as section 5 Article 184 of the Political Constitution of the Republic of Panama and Article 78 of the Tax Procedure Law of the Republic of Panama.

Publio De Gracia Tejada, General Director of Revenue, asked taxpayers to take advantage of this extension if they did not have enough time to fulfill their tax obligations.
