Cortizo appoints a new administrator in charge of ARAP

President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo appointed Hamed Leopoldo Tuñón Finch the new general manager in charge of Water Resources Authority of Panama (ARAP).

Temporary manager, who replaces him Yarelis Martínezthe biologist is specialized in general aquaculture from the University of Panama and has a postgraduate study in general aquaculture and marine fish production.

It also specializes in tilapia production, cyst production, brine shrimp biomass and marine shrimp production.

Tuñón was Deputy Director of the Panamanian Water Resources Authority (2019-2023).

He served as National Aquaculture Director (1995-1996) and was the head of the Aquaculture Strengthening Project, Pradepesca, (1995).

Likewise, Eng. Enrique Enseñat served as head of the Aguas Estearinas Experimental Station. DINAAC (1990 – 1995) and as National Deputy Director for Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agricultural Development.

In addition, he was the founder and president Panamanian Association of Shrimp Producers (Apaproc).
