A Peruvian multinational is showing interest in doing business in Panama

A Peruvian company could soon be established on the soil of Panama. It is a multinational company Extragel Products and Universal SA

In order to achieve this goal, the company’s delegation was received at managers of the General Administration for Investment Attraction Marketing and the General Administration Headquarters of Multinational Companies (SEM), Ministry of Trade and Industry (MICI).

Hardeep Bhullar, managing director of Investment Attraction Marketing, said Peruvian businessmen are evaluating the investment opportunities offered by the isthmus.

The idea is to create a food distribution center for Latin America and the Caribbean, taking advantage of the geographic advantage offered by Panama.

Bhullar added that Omar Castillo, attorney for SEM, has developed a case related to the law of multinational companies for the provision of services related to production (EMMA).

He explained that, in addition to the distribution center, they are also interested in light manufacturing for some of their lines of consumer goods commercialization.

This last point includes aspects such as labeling and repackaging, Bhullar added.

The official pointed out that the businessmen visited the Private Free Zone Panapark, the largest in Panama, where they were received by the head of sales and marketing Arsenio González, with whom they toured the facilities.

This is the first time that a Peruvian multinational company visits Panama and learns about the competitive advantages that country has to offer.

“These advantages make us an ideal destination for international companies to invest in Panama, creating opportunities employment and economic growth“, detailed MICI.
