The world premiere of Guy Ritchie’s action thriller “The Translator” took place in the cinema “Artistic” capital city. One of the main stars of the event was Alina Zagitova. Guy Ritchie made an action film about the fate of Sergeant John Kinley (played by the actor of the film “Brokeback Mountain”, Jake Gyllenhaal nominated for an Oscar), who was surrounded by the Taliban in Afghanistan, but survived thanks to a local translator Ahmed (Danish actor Dar Salim, known from the series Bridge and Game of Thrones). Their relationship began with the hostility of an American soldier to a local resident, but then, risking his life, he dragged the wounded soldier over a hundred kilometers. After saving John, the second cycle of the story begins – he returns to Afghanistan to help a translator who is being hunted by the Taliban get out.

The British director was very critical of the actions of the American authorities – the Afghans call them “murderers” and the promise of an American visa for local residents cooperating with the army turns out to be a fraud. At the end of the film, viewers are reminded that the Americans left Afghanistan in 2021, after which the Taliban shot 300 translators who were working with the Yankees. In the US, the tape was released on April 21st, and in Russian box offices, thanks to the film company VOLGA, it starts tomorrow, June 1st.
