Mia herself still does not communicate much with the press, but how quietly her daughter’s career began, her mother explained by the fact that she bears a different surname – Tripleton. Kate assured that many casting agents did not suspect that Mia was Winslet’s daughter.

“She was lucky she had a different last name so she was out of the limelight and the people filming her didn’t know she was my daughter. That was obviously important for her confidence,” said Kate.
