The People’s Artist of Russia died in the Shchelkovo hospital in the Moscow region. The designer was taken to the clinic with stomach bleeding from his studio in the village of Kablukovo, near Moscow, where he had lived since 2000.
The ambulance arrived at 2 p.m. Zaitsev complained of acute abdominal pain. The fashion designer went for a CT scan and was then placed in intensive care. Unfortunately, the doctors failed to save the life of Vjačeslav Michajlovič. Around 18:00 Zaitsev died, according to the Mash Telegram channel.
Alexander Rogov commented on the tragic news. “The legend is gone. My sincere condolences to the family and friends,” said the Russian designer and stylist. Svetlana Bondarchuk also spoke about the death of the fashion designer. “Vyacheslav Zaitsev died. A man of great talent, a great fashion designer, a revolutionary in his field,” the model and TV presenter wrote on her blog.
