Shock, but not Bruce Willis: who was the first husband Demi Moore cheated on

Demi was just 18 when she married musician Freddie Moore in 1981. They had met two years earlier in a nightclub and Freddie, then 29, was married at the time. But this circumstance did not prevent his romance with 16-year-old Demi. Almost immediately, the lovers began to live together, and soon Moore filed for divorce and asked for a new lover. Demi, née Guynes, adopted her husband’s surname.

Freddie and Demi were inseparable. They even started working together. Freddie wrote the music and also had a small role in the 1982 horror film Parasite, Demi’s screen debut in which she won the female lead role.

But in September 1984, Demi Moore filed for divorce from Moore. Freddie later said of her: “I have never met a woman with a more obsessive need to be loved.” But Demi admitted years later that she cheated on him on the eve of the wedding.

By a sad coincidence, the first husband of the actress struggled with memory deterioration with age (a similar fate befell Bruce Willis later – he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. In 2014, Freddie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In recent years, his third wife, Rena, took care of him.

After a serious deterioration in his health due to a cerebral hemorrhage, Freddie Moore lived in a nursing home in Los Angeles until his death on August 25, 2022, at the age of 72.
