One bigamist, the other almost a widower: what were the crashes of our childhood – the actors of the TV series “Commissioner Rex” Stars

There were unexpected twists and turns in the life of the actors.

The series “Commissioner Rex” was released in 1994. In the first four seasons, the main role, the policeman Richard Moser, was played by the Austrian actor Tobias Moretti. The series was a huge success and the audience in Russia also loved it. Moretti’s role made him a real star.

However, the actor began to tire of his role, dreamed of quitting filming, and finally persuaded the writers to deal with his hero right in the middle of the season. The murder scene was truly dramatic – even you had to watch it with tears in your eyes. And what a shame it was Rex!

Moretti carried out his plans. After getting out of the serial trap, he continued his film career, starred in a number of original films and also tried himself as a director.

In 2022, the actor’s wife had a serious accident that almost cost her her life. Fortunately, everything worked out, although she had to undergo two complex operations.

Today, sixty-three-year-old Tobias lives with his wife on a farm near Innsbruck and raises three children: daughters Rosa and Antonia and son Lenz. The actor continues to perform actively and also performs with a group playing baroque music.

After Moretti left Commissioner Rex, German actor Gedeon Burkhard, who had previously played a supporting role in the series, was cast in the lead role. He played a stockbroker who starts killing his partners, believing they gave him AIDS.

Now Gideon has returned to the audience in the form of a respectable police officer. True, he also did not last long in the series – he played his hero from the fourth to the seventh season.

Then you could see him in Inglourious Basterds and the German film Ludwig of Bavaria.

However, Gideon’s personal life is much richer than filmography. His relationships have always been somewhat chaotic: as soon as he started with one woman, he immediately fell in love with another. So the actor’s girlfriends changed like in a kaleidoscope. One of them, model Philomena Iannakone, managed to give birth to a daughter, Gideon. This Casanova was married only once, to the American Bridget Cunningham, but the marriage lasted only 4 months.

But now it seems that Burckhard with his uncontrollable love has found a way out of the situation. He lives with two women at once! The chosen ones of the 53-year-old actor are Sasha Veduta and Ann-Britt Dittmar (both younger than Gideon). At the same time, he emphasizes that it is not just about sex, but about a “balanced and deep connection” in all aspects.

“Just so everyone knows, from now on we always need +2 on the guest list,” the actor comments wryly about his love in three.

But that’s not all. In fact, there are three women living in Gideon’s Berlin apartment at once. Burkhard’s mother, the actress Elisabeth von Molo, also recently moved in with him. We hope to do without queuing for the toilet!
