Smile through the pain: what’s wrong with Kate Middleton and Prince William’s ‘happy’ Christmas card

Every year, shortly before the start of the holidays, the British royal family sends out New Year’s cards with their photos. Fans are especially excited when the picture that adorns the postcard from Prince William and Kate Middleton appears on the web.

William and Kate are always right out of the box when it comes to choosing Christmas card images. So this time they chose a shot taken in the warm season. And the newlywed Princess of Wales even poses in skinny jeans – only worn a handful of times during her public life.

And while Kate and William’s Christmas photo is meant to show family cohesion and a relaxed attitude, well-known body language expert Judy James immediately spotted alarm bells in the picture.

According to the expert, the ideal relaxed poses of the members of the royal family in the photo literally scream about the tension between them. The distracted look of Prince William through the camera and his hand hidden in his pocket is therefore evaluated by the expert as a desire to hide from others.

“His smile seems very strained – and addressed to nowhere, to the void.” Probably at this moment his thoughts were occupied with something important or disturbing, “says Judy James.

Kate Middleton’s smile is also more restrained and strained compared to her usual emotions, according to a body language expert.

“However, there is a lot of pride in the expression of her eyes,” emphasizes the specialist.

I wonder how long ago this photo was taken? It is quite possible that Kate did not yet know that in September, after the death of the Queen, she will finally receive the title of Princess!
