When we talk about old school humor, we naturally think of Full House, The Crooked Mirror and Panorama of Laughter. Many artists have provided us with many elegant days of fun.
Among your favorites was (and still is) the duet “New Russian Grandmothers”, embodied by Igor Kasilov and Sergey Khvanov. The image of Matryona and the flower was invented by comedians as an experiment, which, however, not only succeeded, but worked 100%.
At first, the partners performed in small towns, but they could not remain unnoticed, and very soon they got into the team of Yevgeniy Petrosyan’s “Crooked Mirror” theater, which celebrated them all over the country.

Years passed and today “New Russian Grandmothers” returned to the original. The former popularity has passed, and comedians travel around the cities of Russia and speak for loyal fans.

We decided to find out what Igor Kasilov aka Flower looks like today, and we have to admit that we didn’t recognize him right away. And it is not only the absence of the usual scarf and grandmother’s robes, but also age. Yes, years go by, people change.
