'I'll never forget you': Elton John completes five-year farewell tour

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour started in 2018. It was supposed to end in three years, but the coronavirus pandemic disrupted all plans. Sir Elton John’s final show was held at the Tele2 Arena and the concert ended with the song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road from the 1973 album.

The singer tenderly addressed the fans. “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. You bought singles, albums and CDs and most of all you bought concert tickets because you know how much I love to play live. Playing for you guys has been a lifesaver for me and you guys have been amazing, thank you for everything! I’ll never forget you guys,” Elton said.
