Youth in the GDR
Till Lindemann was born on January 4, 1963 in Leipzig, but his early years were spent between a house in Rostock and a farm in the Mecklenburg countryside. His parents remained a couple for a long time, but did not live together. The mother of the future rock musician Brigitte Lindemann worked as a journalist on radio and television, and her father Werner Lindemann was a well-known author of children’s books in the GDR.
At first, Till, along with his younger sister, lived with his mother in Rostock, and in the early 1980s he moved to his father’s farm and began to learn a trade – making various agricultural tools from wood. Relations with his father were not easy: before this meeting, Till and Werner rarely spoke, and now the grinding of figures creaked.

Werner Lindemann died of cancer in 1993, never knowing that his son would soon succeed and become the leader of the most popular German band in the world. Rammstein was founded in 1994.
However, life could have turned out so that Till collected not stadiums, but gold medals. He took swimming seriously in his youth. In 1978, at the European Youth Championship, he finished seventh at a distance of 1500 m, after which the coaches began to pay closer attention to the promising athlete and even considered the possibility of including him in the Olympic team for participation in the 1980 Games in Moscow. But one case put an end to this chance – Lindemann was struck off the list of applicants after he left the hotel without permission and spoke to athletes from West Germany at a race in Italy. In 1979, Till was injured and his sporting prospects were completely extinguished.
Three children and one grandson

Lindemann was married twice, and family life began quite early – for the first time, the future rock musician became a father at the age of 22. In 1985, his daughter Nele was born. Little is known about the first marriage, except that it was difficult and unsuccessful. As journalist Michelle Bettendorf wrote in her 2002 book The Origins of the Punk Scene, Till was a single father and raised his daughter by himself until the age of seven.
After that, Lindemann got married again – journalist Anja Kesling became his chosen one. In 1993, their daughter Marie-Louise was born.
In 2017, in an interview with Playboy, the musician admitted that he also has a son, but did not disclose the details of the relationship with the child’s mother. Lindemann also managed to become a grandfather – in 2008, the eldest daughter of the rocker gave birth to a son, Fritz Fidel.
Love for young women

Although rockers are always surrounded by a veil of promiscuity and endless romances, Till Lindemann’s personal life was not the No. 1 topic of the yellow press until recently. In the life of the musician there was even a rather long relationship with actress Sofia Tomalla – from 2011 to 2015. True, this novel still excited the public. The fact is that at the beginning of the love story Sofia was only 18 years old. Lindemann is 26 years older than her. At first, the girl’s mother categorically opposed their relationship and even urged Lindemann to “keep her hands off” her daughter. In the end, however, Till and Sofia became a strong couple and remained friends after the breakup. Against the background of the rocker’s current accusations, Sofia came to his defense by the way.
Lindemann is said to have had relationships with podcaster Leila Lofire and model Irenna Lah, who were also much younger than the rocker.
And the alleged romance with Svetlana Loboda was discussed for a long time in the Russian press. In fact, it turned out to be just a PR story of the Ukrainian singer, who until the last moment caught the attention of the public and suggested that she also gave birth to a daughter, Tilda, by the German singer.

Lindemann rarely commented on his novels, but if he spoke about women, then in a provocative style.
The scandalous quote from a 2017 interview with Playboy Till is still remembered now that the harassment story has flared up.
Then Lindemann said the following:
In his private life, however, the rocker, who sometimes behaves defiantly on stage, seems more like a typical townsman than a rebel. In his free time, Lindemann enjoys fishing and hunting.
What is Till Lindemann accused of?

The musician’s name is currently making headlines as dozens of women have accused him of violence and harassment. It all started like this: after a Rammstein concert in Lithuania, a young Irish woman named Shelby Lynn said that a drug had been added to her drink at the band’s after-party. She did not remember anything after that and woke up the next morning with bruises on her body. Although Shelby stated that she was not personally touched by Till, she said that the girls were invited to these parties specifically to have sex with Lindemann. Soon, other women began sharing their stories online.
There was also information that Till Lindemann allegedly had a personal assistant, Russian Alena Makeeva, who chose women for his pre-concert and post-concert parties. We have already told you more about who Alena Makeeva is. Lindemann is currently undergoing a police check.

Lindemann rarely speaks to the media – and certainly not about his personal life.

“Some people are just looking for someone to judge them. Over time, you will grow a thick skin. But it’s still disgusting,” he said in an interview with Welt in 2009.
Asked if he ever felt insulted by bad headlines, he said: “Yes. Especially when, for example, my children ask: “Is it really so?”.
This time, Till has not yet commented personally on the situation, but the Rammstein group published an official statement in which they denied all the accusations.
Now it’s up to the Berlin police.
