Used car for 20,000 euros: This is a smart choice

You simply need a lot of space in your car for various reasons. You want a comfortable ride, but because of heavy city traffic, an automatic transmission is also a requirement. There are plenty of SUVs for sale, but with a budget of twenty grand, the choices become much more limited. Which one will it be?

Renault Scénic for 20,000 euros (2016 – 2023)
Renault is considered to be the “inventor” of this type of car. We see this again in Scénic. In the back it is spacious enough for these children or two adults. In addition, the used car has numerous features such as folding tables, storage compartments in the floor, the back seat is movable and split 1/3-2/3.
The luggage compartment holds at least 572 liters (!) when the seat is in the rearmost position. The noticeably large wheels (20 inches) ensure lower rolling resistance, but provide quite harsh reactions on small hills. The seven-speed automatic transmission works great with the 1.3-liter engine. Expect a consumption of around 1 in 14. A black 1.3 “Initiale Paris” (2019, 118,000 km) is listed at a car company in Terborg for 19,950 euros. This used car has now been sold.
This is what you should pay attention to when buying a used car
It can happen that a Scénic event does not start, for example because the car is being disturbed by radiation from a transmission tower or something similar. So if it looks “dead”, push it a hundred meters and chances are it will start.
If the battery in the key is dead, you can start the car by pressing the key flat to the right against the steering column. In addition, a regular gasoline version (!) is quite reliable.
