Dive into the price list: the Fisker Ocean

Fisker returns to the Dutch market with the Fisker Ocean. The car is now ready to be fully configured and ordered, so let’s take a quick look at the price list to introduce it.

Building a new car brand is difficult. Fisker has something to say about that. In 2011, the company introduced the Fisker Karma, a then-revolutionary plug-in hybrid. However, due to financial difficulties, production had to be stopped again in 2012. We are now more than ten years further. The car itself has started a second life under the care of Karma Automotive and Fisker also has many new plans. One of them is conquering the European market, including the Fisker Ocean.

Fisker Ocean is very sustainable

In recent years, all-electric SUV-like models have come onto the market. What does the Fisker Ocean contribute? According to Fisker himself, a lot of luxury at a relatively low price. In addition, it is said to be “the most sustainable vehicle in the world” thanks to the use of many recycled materials. What’s also notable in terms of sustainability is that the car is optionally equipped with solar panels on the roof, which can charge up to 1,610 kilometers per year. The calculation is likely based on usage in sunny California. Speaking of condition, the Ocean also features California mode, which fully opens all windows except the windshield to create an especially airy interior.

Three versions, two powertrains Fisker Ocean

The Fisker Ocean is available in three versions: Sport, Ultra and Extreme. This includes two different powertrains. The Sport has an electric motor (on the front axle) that is already good for an output of 210 kW (286 hp) and a maximum torque of 377 Nm. 100 km/h is reached in 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 160 km/h for efficiency reasons. The 80 kWh battery is sufficient for a range of 464 km (WLTP).

The other two versions have two electric motors and thus all-wheel drive as well as a system output of 421 kW (573 hp) and a system torque of 737 Nm. Depending on the version, 100 km/h can be reached in 3.9 to 4.2 seconds; the top speed is 205 to 200 km/h. A 113 kWh battery provides a range of 690 to 707 km (WLTP).

Equipment and prices Fisker Ocean

Does that cost? The Fisker Ocean is available in the Netherlands from 43,990 euros for sport. Not as affordable as originally promised, but still a fairly competitive price. For Ultra and Extreme you pay 58,990 euros and 63,590 euros respectively. Some highlights from the standard equipment: 20-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, heated front seats, a digital interior mirror, a 17.1-inch central display for infotainment, a “premium” audio system from Fisker itself, an electrically operated tailgate and much more Of course, a number of advanced driving systems.

The Ultra offers, among other things, an opening panoramic roof, an additional Hyper driving mode, an even more extensive Fisker audio system and the aforementioned California mode, in which all windows can be opened. Finally, the Extreme, including a roof with solar panels (no longer panoramic), a rotating central display, also heated seats in the rear, an even more advanced 3D audio system, boost mode and controls for the rear passengers (audio and interior climate). ).

Which one do you take? There is quite a big step financially, especially between the “entry-level model” and the Ultra. But there is significantly more horsepower, luxury and the eye-catching California mode. Still attractive. After that, the price difference is “only” 4,600 euros for the top model with the special solar panels. However, these also come at the expense of the panoramic roof and would you really charge many kilometers for free in the Netherlands because of the sun? After thinking about it, we decided: For us it would be the Fisker Ocean Ultra.

Outdoor decoration

The Fisker Ocean comes standard in white. For a different color you pay at least 1,515 euros. Then you have the choice between black (possibly with a mother-of-pearl effect), several shades of gray, dark blue, bright red, dark green and a beige-like sand tone. If you’re willing to pay 4,540 euros more, matt gray blue and matt dark green are also available. We choose Mariana, a dark gray-blue metallic paint.

We can exchange the standard 20-inch wheels for various 22-inch wheels for an additional charge of 1,465 to 1,920 euros. You can see the different designs below. Our choice falls on the black version of the AirGlider wheels, for which you pay 1,615 euros.

Interior decoration

As standard, the interior is almost entirely covered in black EcoFabric, a sustainable material. Pay 2,520 euros extra and the interior will be largely covered in black artificial leather. Invest 5,040 euros and you will receive a completely white imitation leather interior. We choose black faux leather.

Packages and individual options

Then there are five option packages. For 1,205 euros, the winter package offers steering wheel heating, rear seat heating, heated windshield washers and windshield wipers as well as interior pre-air conditioning (also remotely controlled). With the Performance package (705 euros) you get Boost Mode and Smart Traction. The latter ensures optimal torque distribution to the wheels. We tick both packages.

For 3,985 euros there is the Ultimate package, including Hollywood mode (rotating central screen and streaming functions), additional connectivity functions, storage functions (via customer ID) and a valet mode that restricts certain functions when you lend your car or of course by car The valet service makes parking possible. With Fisker Intelligent Pilot (2,975 euros) you get a 360-degree camera, additional safety systems and a range of advanced semi-autonomous driving functions. We then leave these packages as they are.

Finally, there is the Fisker Max package for a whopping 7,055 euros, which combines all of the packages mentioned above. There are also some separate options, but these are things like snow chains (910 euros), a folding luggage compartment floor (at no extra charge) and an electrically folding trailer hitch (1,810 euros).

Assemble the Fisker Ocean yourself

With our selection, the total price is 66,550 euros. Do you think this is a bit too much to tick off at once? Fisker also has its own leasing offering. All configuration options, Fisker services and upcoming Fisker models can be viewed at www.fiskerinc.com/nl.
