See: 1929 Ford Model A goes viral after antics in the snow

While many classic cars shine in a collector’s garage, this 1929 Ford Model A gets a lot of fun. In the viral video, the old man can be seen drifting through the snow.

It’s a bit like what we imagine a pre-war version of it would be like The Fast-Suggest a film. Black and white, Charlie Chaplin instead of Paul Walker and stunts with cars from back in the day.

Drifting in a 1929 Ford Model A

Part of this strange fantasy has come true thanks to American Jason Beadle. He has been driving his 1929 Ford Model A every day for more than a year, even in the winter. In fact, he can’t help but throw the rear-wheel drive car around as the roads are now covered in a thick layer of snow. Beadle is clearly not someone who wants to keep his classic car in pristine condition.

“For a car that’s almost 100 years old, it drives surprisingly well in the snow,” writes Beadle. The pictures of it are now going viral. Although the Ford Model A owner only has a handful of subscribers, his video has already been viewed more than 325,000 times in two weeks.

Positive reactions

Car enthusiasts react enthusiastically. “I’m glad these types of cars are still driving around,” one person wrote under the video. “I feel like this Ford Model A is better used than a lot of modern supercars owned by boring rich people and that’s fantastic,” wrote another.

The owner responds and says, “I drive it a few miles to work every day. Sometimes I drive longer distances and it always goes smoothly.”

Successor to the T-Ford

That’s impressive for a car built almost a century ago. Between 1927 and 1931 almost 5 million copies rolled off the assembly line. The successor to the Model T was the Ford Model A, which can be purchased surprisingly cheaply as a used car.
