The five main things that have changed in the Ford Kuga

The second and third generations of the Ford Kuga are less sporty than the first. Nevertheless, it remains an above-average dynamic SUV. The third generation is now receiving a facelift.

1. The nose

The facelift of the third generation Ford Kuga can be immediately recognized by the new nose. For example, Ford is installing new, significantly smaller headlights. An LED strip connects both lighting units.

With the facelift there is no longer a handle under the license plate. This is now located above the license plate in the bar where the license plate light is also located. The taillights were slightly changed.

3. Interior

Inside we see more drastic adjustments. There is a larger infotainment screen. The previous Ford Kuga had 12.3 inches. Now you get an additional 0.9 inch display. The screen is therefore 13.2 inches.

Ford says goodbye to many physical buttons and the interior is almost identical to that of the Focus, for example. The 12.3-inch digital clock panel can also be recognized from other Ford models.

4. More electric driving and more towing capacity

In the Netherlands, the Ford Kuga is only available as a plug-in hybrid. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder with electric assistance is good for 243 hp. Previously, you could drive up to 56 kilometers with the 14.4 kWh battery using the WLTP measuring method. Now it’s 69 kilometers.
