Fans will know which movie this quote comes from: the original Predator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. And let him be the first owner of this Unimog.

But of course Arnold Schwarzenegger once drove a Unimog! After all, he is also the man who gave us the Hummer H1, the consumer version of the Humvee.

By the way, we have to clarify something. Strictly speaking, “Ahnuld” was not the first owner of this Unimog, but he was the first to drive it in this form.

The all-wheel drive truck was built in 1977 and restored in 2012 by a German specialist, who also adapted it to the wishes of the “governor”.

Signature Schwarzenegger

Upgrades include 22-inch wheels with 445/65 tires, Hella headlights, air suspension, a roll bar and an interior with the necessary updates.

Schwarzenegger’s signature is on the dashboard, but “the governor” didn’t keep the truck long. It was already for sale on a German used car site in 2014.

“Go to the Choppa!”

This Unimog is powered by a 6.4-liter in-line six-cylinder turbodiesel with 320 hp, so that the actor/governor was quickly able to take part in the “CHOPPA” flights.

We are of course referring to the statement of Dutch (Schwarzenegger) from the film Predator, who is confronted with a dangerous alien in the jungle and orders his companion to escape to the helicopter. Arnold’s thick Austrian accent made this unintentionally hilarious.

Auctioned in January

His former Mercedes Unimog will be auctioned off in Scottsdale, Arizona at the end of January. The Barrett-Jackson auction house does not disclose the expected proceeds. There is no minimum price.
