According to the brand, the electric vehicle has an 80 kWh battery and the Hyper HT (depending on the variant chosen) has a range of 600, 670 or even 770 kilometers. The latter is Lucid Air territory and we suspect this version will have a larger battery.

Aion Hyper HT costs less than Volkswagen Polo

In terms of performance, the Chinese electric vehicle cannot keep up with the Tesla Model X and certainly not with the 1,020 hp Plaid version. The Aion Hyper HT is available with 245 HP or 340 HP. The more powerful version needs 5.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100. Well, Elon Musk won’t lose sleep over it.

Maybe because of the price. Aion also wants to bring its electric cars to the European market. The Chinese EV brand reiterated this intention by opening a development center in Rome. What the Aion Hyper HT will cost in Europe is still unknown, but we know that the Tesla Model X clone has a price of just under 27,300 euros in China. That’s (unless you opt for the simplest Polo version) cheaper than a Volkswagen Polo!
