The price of fuel is, of course, unpredictable. After all, the value of a barrel of crude oil can fluctuate greatly. We know what the government’s policy will be on fuel prices.
The price of gasoline
As gasoline and other fuels became cheaper due to excise tax cuts, the government said excise taxes would one day return to their previous levels. The last excise tax increase would occur in 2024.
Last July, gasoline became 17 cents more expensive and from January 1, 2024 it is expected to rise by another 21 cents. While the average price for a liter of Euro95 E10 is 2,152 euros. You pay an average of 2,294 euros per liter for premium gasoline.
Please note that average prices per day vary. The prices mentioned are valid from November 15, 2023.

So gasoline will neither become more expensive nor cheaper next year as a result of an increase in excise taxes. Of course, the price may rise or fall for other reasons. However, it is not expected that fuel will suddenly become significantly cheaper. To reduce costs, you can drive more economically. This Google Maps setting will save you a lot of gas every year.
