A beautiful English statement reads: Money doesn’t buy skills. The (un)lucky owner of this Ferrari F8 Tributo proves it once again.
It happened in the US state of Texas. After visiting a cars and coffeeEvent wants to bring the Ferrari home but doesn’t quite go to plan.
Ferrari F8 Tributo total loss
The Ferrari F8 Tributo drives straight when the driver depresses the right pedal vigorously. A point gas with big consequences. The 720 hp V8 spins the wheels and the rear turns violently. Fast hands are required to cope with the rear eruption of a mid-engine super sports car. This American was not fast enough and is bumped uncomfortably onto the concrete blocks by the side of the road.
A screaming crowd armed with camera phones make their way through the rubble and soon the police are on the scene. The Italian supercar seems to have been written off in one fell swoop. An expensive joke. In the Netherlands, you spend at least 305,000 euros on a Ferrari F8 Tributo.
Spectacular crash in the video
It’s not the first time Autovisie has written about a wrecked Ferrari. In March it was a Dutchman and a Belgian who experienced a spectacular accident with their Italian super sports cars. However, at that time it was not a Ferrari F8 Tributo, but a 296 GTB and an F12berlinetta. The images show the Ferraris hitting the roadside at breakneck speed and then flying meters high through the air. The scene ended with a 296 GTB in the folds and a burned out F12berlinetta.
In cars with a lot of power, things go wrong more often. For example, a while ago we wrote about this fourth generation Toyota Supra. A JDM enthusiast took his gem to a tuner, where an auto mechanic then decided to give it a test drive. That went terribly wrong.
