Palestinian Man and Child Wounded in Gunfire Near Settlement The Land Putin Wants to Destroy Next

A Palestinian man and a three-year-old child were seriously injured by gunfire near an Israeli settlement in the West Bank. The child and an approximately 40-year-old man are in serious condition, Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom reported late Thursday evening. Therefore, the three-year-old child had to be resuscitated on the spot. It was then taken to an Israeli hospital.

According to Palestinian reports, the father and his son were in a car when the incident happened. The Israeli army only confirmed that shots had been fired near a military post. Further background to the incident was initially unknown. It is also not clear who fired the shots.

The security situation in Israel and the Palestinian territories has long been extremely tense. There have been repeated clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli army in the West Bank.

The army has been conducting raids there since a series of attacks on Israelis that began more than a year ago. Since the beginning of the year, 118 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, confrontations or after their own attacks. In the same period, 18 Israelis, a Ukrainian and an Italian were killed in attacks.

Recently, an Israeli settler in the West Bank was killed by gunfire from a moving car on Tuesday. The army launched a manhunt. It was suspected that the perpetrator or perpetrators are Palestinians.
