Three people died this morning in the capital of Ukraine as a result of the new Russian missile attack against the city which also caused several injuries, as the Kyiv military administration reported for Efe today.

“Tonight, Russia killed a nine-year-old girl, her 34-year-old mother and another 33-year-old woman,” Ukrainian police said. It was first reported that the minor victim was 11 years old. Russia attacked the capital of Ukraine this morning 10 Iskander missiles which were directed against critical infrastructure in or around the Ukrainian capital. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 10 missiles were shot down, but caused damage and casualties when they fell after being intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.

Missile debris caused damage in the children’s polyclinicin two schools and a police station and in several public and private buildings in three different districts of the Ukrainian capital.

Mayor Vitalii Klychko explained that the management of the clinic is under investigation for not opening a shelter for those who were in the building during the attack. The explosions were heard in the city center shortly after 3 am.

Kiev was attacked by kamikaze drones or missiles up to 17 times during the month of May. Ukrainian authorities attribute the increase in the frequency and intensity of these attacks, almost always at night, to Russia’s intention to demoralize the Ukrainians and exhaust their air defenses.
