In the presidential elections in Turkey, two news agencies published different partial results. Incumbent Recep Tayyip Erdogan is ahead on Sunday, after about 66 percent of polls opened, according to state news agency Anadolu. He came to about 55 percent, his challenger Kemal Kilicdaroglu to about 45 percent.
However, a race ensues at the Anka agency, which is close to the opposition. This puts Kilicdaroglu ahead with about 51 percent, Erdogan comes out at about 49 percent.
According to preliminary information, turnout was around 85 percent. In Turkey, about 61 million people were called to vote. Eligible voters abroad have already voted.
