Russian President Vladimir Putin (70) is coming under increasing domestic pressure. Experts have not ruled out a coup against the Kremlin boss for some time. Now a former Kremlin officer is unpacking and accusing notorious Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigoshin (61) of planning a coup attempt against Putin.

In a video, former Russian intelligence officer Igor Girkin (52) talks about the current situation. In it, he openly accused Prigozhin of planning a coup. He also discredits the Russian army and military leadership. “This is unacceptable and the behavior of a man with limited social skills,” Girkin shoots at the Wagner boss.

Military leadership is also criticized

The former Kremlin officer also warned of “mutiny” if Prigozhin was allowed to continue leading the Wagner group. Among other things, Girkin claimed that the Wagner mercenaries had not taken an oath not to fight against Russia or the Russian army. However, the former Secret Service agent still owes no proof of this.

Girkin also criticized the Russian military leadership for their treatment of Prigozhin. It is “incomprehensible why the Ministry of Defense does not put Prigozhin in his place,” said the ex-officer. And he warned the current officers: “If you count on Prigozhin, you should know: he will eat you to increase his political power.”

“War of the Armies”

One of the members of Girkin’s Angry Patriots Club even took it a step further on Telegram. «The conflict between Prigozhin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu is escalating into a war between the armies. And Putin is watching, but he’s not interested.”

Girkin’s “Furious Patriots’ Club” aims to protect the pro-war faction in the Kremlin and ensure that the war in Ukraine is over as soon as possible.

Prigozhin continues to shoot

Wagner boss Prigozchin (61) has been firing at the Kremlin for weeks. Among other things, he threatened to withdraw all his people if the Russian Ministry of Defense did not supply more ammunition.

Also on May 9, the Wagner boss fired in the direction of the Russian elite. On Victory Day, an important holiday for Russia, Prigozhin attacked an unknown grandfather. He said, “The lucky grandfather thinks he’s all right. But what should the country do if it turns out that grandfather is a complete asshole?” Putin may have meant.

Experts have repeatedly emphasized in the past that a coup against Putin is not impossible. (zis)
