The video shows the drone approaching the scout ship and exploding on the ship’s side.

Ukraine apparently dealt another blow to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

On Thursday, a 14-second video of a drone attack on a Russian ship was published on an unofficial Telegram channel of the Ukrainian army. The footage shows how a drone approaches the ship under fire until the recording stops on the side of the ship.

Moscow denied successful attack

On Wednesday, Russia’s defense ministry boasted that it had fended off an attack by three drones on the warship Ivan Churs and released a video showing an approaching unmanned speedboat being shot down.

Citing a Ukrainian source, “Ukrainska Pravda” now reports that the warship “Ivan Churs” was damaged. “It didn’t sink, but it was hit and the hull damaged. The Russians are now repairing it.”

Secure operation of two pipelines

According to Russian information, the ship “Iwan Churs” was located about 140 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus at the time of the incident. There it ensured the operation of two pipelines. According to “Ria Nowosti”, the warship is designed for communications, fleet control, reconnaissance and electronic warfare.

According to “Meduza”, the ship in the video is the “Ivan Churs”. Two open source intelligence experts came to the same conclusion. Ukraine’s defense ministry confirmed a successful drone strike on the Russian warship on Thursday. (new)
