For a long time it was quiet in the case of Rebecca Reusch (15). Until the detectives raided the home of the suspected brother-in-law Florian R.* (31) in March 2023 and conducted another search. Now it’s clear why: he googled bondage sex.
According to “Bild”, the Berlin prosecutor’s office received the corresponding data from its search history in February 2021 at the request of Google.
According to data from Google, Schwager surfed porn sites
The records show: The night before Rebecca’s disappearance, the brother-in-law Googled certain sex practices and surfed porn sites.
In March, officers searched the 31-year-old’s home for a bathrobe belt. A detective told Bild that, based on the search history, they were explicitly looking for objects that could be used to strangle people.
Not a hot lead yet
There are no indications that Florian R. has anything to do with Rebecca Reusch’s disappearance. He denies any involvement. Nevertheless, he remained the focus of law enforcement authorities since the investigation began.
Rebecca Reusch has been missing since February 2019. She then stayed with her sister and husband Florian R. in Berlin.
Since then, the case has taken people beyond Germany’s borders. There are several theories about what might have happened to her. They range from the possibility of suicide to kidnapping. (A)
