Three people were killed and two others injured in a shooting at a Kansas City nightclub on Sunday night. Two of the victims died at the scene, another in hospital, police said on Sunday. The emergency call came in around 1:25 a.m. (local time). Police found one of the dead inside the club and another outside the building. According to the police, they are probably adults, but there was no information about their age and gender.
It was not immediately known who fired the shots and why. Homicide and forensics examined the crime scene, police said. One of the injured is in critical condition, the other is stable. The US has long faced mass gun violence. These kinds of incidents are part of everyday life.
