Actually, a couple from Florida wanted to walk their dog last Friday. However, they counted without a 10-foot-long alligator that jumped out of the water in Riverside Park in the city of Oviedo and grabbed the couple’s beloved four-legged friend.

“A couple was walking the dog in Riverside Park behind the Little Econ River when an alligator came out and grabbed hold of it,” Lisa McDonald, the city’s communications manager, told Fox News. «The friend jumped on the alligator to save the dog. They were able to free the animal,” she added.
The couple did not have to call the emergency number, the park staff did not notify them until the next day. According to local media, the dog is being treated at a local veterinary clinic. His condition is unclear.
Alligator euthanized
After learning about the incident, park officials contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), which later captured the gator. According to Fox 35 Orlando, the robber has fallen asleep.
McDonald explained that there are several large alligators in the park. “Because of the dense crocodile population, especially during the mating season of alligators, dog owners are strongly discouraged from walking their pets near bodies of water,” she said.
