The latest trend in Russia: cappuccino with breast milk Potential sex offender? Catholic clergy in France must carry a QR code

In rural Russia, a businessman sells cappuccinos made with breast milk. Business is going pretty well.

In the Russian city of Perm, a small cafe chain offers a very special drink: a cappuccino made with breast milk. This is reported by the Russian telegram channel Mash on Telegram Tuesday.

Breast milk just before frothing.

Business is going pretty well. Three branches offer the special cappuccino. The owner Maxim Kobelev sells 50 cups a day.

The breast milk business is lucrative. A normal cappuccino usually costs around 150 rubles, about 1.70 francs. The coffee with breast milk costs a proud 650 rubles, about 7.20 francs.

High prices are justified

According to Kobelev, the high price is justified. Because all childbirth mothers must provide a medical document that they are healthy. It’s not free.

He finds the women on social media and offers them a partnership. For a portion of breast milk, he pays the nursing woman 1,000 rubles, the equivalent of 11 francs. A good income for Russian standards.

A young mother releases her breast milk.

A young woman tells the Telegram channel that she has enough milk: for her baby and for coffee. In total, the café receives about five liters of milk per day.

Kobelev came up with the unusual idea together with his wife. She recently gave birth. “Not all ideas in gastronomy are exhausted,” he adds.
