Elon Musk violently attacked Jewish billionaire George Soros on Twitter. Musk writes on his own platform that he hates humanity and wants to undermine the fabric of civilization. George Soros is regularly exposed to anti-Semitic hostilities and conspiracy stories — and Musk at least takes the narratives of these stories with his head-on attack.
Musk initially wrote that Soros reminded him of Magneto, a character from the Marvel Comics Universe. There Magneto is one of the villains. According to the Marvel story, he is said to be a German Jew who was deported to Auschwitz with his family during World War II and survived the Holocaust.

Journalist Brain Krassenstein then tweeted to Musk that Soros and Magneto both survived the Holocaust. Soros is constantly attacked for his good intentions, “which some Americans think are bad just because they disagree with their political beliefs,” Krassenstein said. Soros is a philanthropist and founded the Open Society Foundations, through which he donates much of his wealth. In anti-Semitic, right-wing extremist circles, Soros is seen as an enemy.
You assume they are good intentions. They are not. He wants to erode the fabric of civilization. Soros hates humanity.

Musk responded, in keeping with the anti-Semitic conspiracy narrative, “You assume the intentions are good.” But Soros’s intentions are not good, he wants to erode the fabric of civilization and hates humanity, Musk said. Some users reacted with outrage and called him an anti-Semite. Musk is unlikely to be impacted on his own platform.
