He wanted to race his sports car on the Autobahn on Sunday evening – but the car’s acceleration and the wet road thwarted the Swiss (20) plan. Around 8 p.m., the rear of a BMW M6 with a capacity of 500 hp broke out on the A1 near Neuenhof. The driver was not injured, but had to surrender his driver’s license.
The Swiss crashed the BMW into the rim board and spun. The sports car was a total loss. The guardrail was also demolished.
It is still unclear why the new driver lost control of the wheel. “But there are indications that the driver has exceeded the speed limit,” says the media agency when asked by Blick. The cantonal police referred the young man to the public prosecutor’s office and temporarily suspended his provisional driving licence.
