Climate stickers paralyzed traffic in Vienna on Wednesday. Two protest actions by the Last Generation action group took place – one at the Praterstern in the city center and one at the distribution circle in Vienna-Favoriten. In that last blockage, the air conditioning stickers prevented an ambulance on its way to resuscitation from driving.
The road was only reopened after police intervention. The Viennese police writes: “After the unreported gatherings were officially disbanded and the activists did not voluntarily leave the premises, the people were freed from the asphalt with a special agent and then removed from the road.”
Nine climate stickers were arrested on Wednesday. The activists will be reported.
