Bizarre neighborhood dispute in the Australian city of Perth. Two neighboring families disagree over one family’s cooking habits!
As the platform “Perth Now” reports, the two families live right above each other. While Kylie’s family eats meat downstairs, Sarah’s family is vegan.
Sarah can’t stand the smell of meat. So a few days ago she picked up pen and paper and wrote a letter to the family next door. On the front is written in capital letters: “Please take this seriously!”
“Freshly mowed grass”
In the letter, Sarah asks Kylie’s family to close the windows while they cook. “The smell of your cooked meat makes us sick and angry,” writes Sarah. “Thank you so much – Sarah, Wayne and the kids.”
The letter ended up on social media and went viral. Many users don’t understand Kylie and her harsh reaction. “I bet her mouth waters when her buddy mows his lawn and she smells the wonderful smell of freshly cut grass,” jokes one of the users.
Also understanding
Another user suggests the answer that suits him: “Write back that the smell of the kale from above bothers you.” Another suggestion: “I’d fire up the grill right now and cook a piece of meat for 12 hours.”
But some also show understanding for the vegan family. “It would be nice if people in the neighborhood take each other into account. Close the window – it’s not that hard.”
Kylie apparently threw a large barbecue in the garden after receiving the letter. A response from Sarah’s family was not long in coming. “Last warning!” reads the new letter, published on Facebook.
“You laugh at us, you don’t take us seriously,” writes Sarah. She threatens: “If this happens again, I will report you to the authorities.” It remains to be seen if this will be the final chapter in this insane neighborhood conflict. (zis)
