Truck collides with coach on German Autobahn

A serious accident has occurred on the German Autobahn A12.

On Tuesday afternoon around 12.30 pm an accident occurred on the German motorway A12 between Storkow and Friedersdorf in the state of Brandenburg. A truck collided with a coach. Another truck is said to have been involved in the accident.

According to initial information, a truck had attempted to change lanes. He collided with a truck in front of him and crashed into the side of the coach.

Many people were injured in the accident. Initially, police reported 18 injured. “The number has risen to about 60,” a spokeswoman for the “Märkische Onlinezeitung” said around 2 p.m.

Tank truck crashed

The highway was closed. The civil protection of the district is on site and is taking care of the victims. The bus would be a Polish Setra coach. Photos circulated on social media showing how the bus passengers independently climb out of the vehicle.

According to the Fürstenwalde fire brigade, a tanker truck was involved in the accident. A large-scale operation of dangerous goods is underway. Diesel would have expired.
