Yevgeny Prigozhin announces that on May 10 he will withdraw his mercenaries from the city of Bakhmut
Owner Wagner’s groupRussian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhinhe condemned again this Friday the lack of ammunition that your mercenaries are suffering and insulted Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Army Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov because of the situation on the front lines in Ukraine.
Prigogine appears in a video posted on the Wagner Group’s Telegram account along with the corpses of several mercenaries, involved in the Russian military offensive on Ukrainian territory, whose epicenter has been in the city of Bakhmut, in eastern Ukraine, for months. “These are the members of the Wagner Group who died today. His blood is still fresh! Listen to me, you bastards! They were someone’s parents and children. That trash that doesn’t give us ammunition will have breakfast in hell,” says the head of Wagner, Meduza reports. “We have a 70% shortage of ammunition. Shoigu, Gerasimov, where’s the fucking ammunition? See them, you bastards,” says Prigozin in a video titled “The losses of the Wagner group on May 4, 2023”.
In this line, there is accused Šojgu and Gerasimovwhich he labeled as “creatures”, of “being in expensive clubs” while their children “enjoy life, making videos for YouTube”. “They believe that they are the owners of lives and that they have the right to get rid of those lives (of members of the Wagner group),” he condemned. “They think that if they have shelters it’s because they have the right to it. These are elementary calculations. If we had received normal ammunition, there would have been five times less casualties.. They volunteered and die here for you to fatten up in your mahogany offices,” he added.

Prigozhin is crazy!!!
The question is: what will happen next?
🤔🤔🤔Is he (and Putin) preparing the public that Soigu and his generals are to blame for the upcoming defeat?
Does he make a cup?

The owner of the Wagner Group announced this Friday that due to the lack of ammunition, the Wagner Group will hand over its positions in the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut (east) to the Russian army on May 10 and move to the rear to “lick the wounds.” Prigozin emphasized that “despite” the lack of ammunition on the front, decided to “hold positions and continue the offensive in Bakhmut until May 10”, the day after the celebration of Victory Day in Russia. “10. on May we will have to surrender our positions in Bakhmut to the units of the Ministry of Defense and retreat to the rear to lick our wounds,” he said, before explaining that the aim was to avoid “senseless deaths”. He also pointed out in his statement that the forces that he leads made important progress in the Donbass region and pointed to the “failures” of the Ministry of Defense in several offensives. In this sense, he said that the mercenary operations in Bakhmut made it possible to “distract a huge number of the enemy and give the Russian army the opportunity to occupy favorable positions in defense and continue the offensive”.
Prighozin lamented that because of this, the departments of the Wagner group “earned the hatred of the envious bureaucrats in the trenches” and complained of the “artificial hunger for ammunition”. “We had to take Bajhmur, but since May 1 the bureaucrats have left us almost without artillery ammunition,” he stressed, condemning that “losses are increasing exponentially every day.” “I foresee that there will be criticism, but after a while smart people will appear who will understand that this was necessary to reach Bakhmut and other places. Whoever has critical words, let him come to Bakhmut to take up arms instead of our dead comrades. By not giving us ammunition, they are not denying us victory, they are denying victory to the Russian people. We will lick our wounds and we will return when the homeland is in danger,” he agreed.
Wagner’s boss, whose forces had become increasingly important since the start of the Russian invasion, blamed the high number of casualties on a lack of artillery ammunition. “If we can’t solve this ammo shortage, we’ll either have to retreat or die so we don’t end up running like rats”settled.
The withdrawal of the mercenaries of the Wagner group from the area could cause the collapse of the Russian front in Bakhmut, which will have a major impact on the entire battle line in the region, at a time when Ukraine assures that it is ending its counter-offensive. The city, located in the Donetsk region, has been in dispute for months and, according to military experts, Ukrainian defenses were losing ground until they dug in a small area in the west of the city, after Russian soldiers and mercenaries from the Wagner group will take over practically all.
