A man threw objects over the palace fence that evening, presumably shotgun grenades. But he was quickly arrested. According to the police, he also had a knife and a suspicious bag, which had been blown up as a precaution.

In the early hours of the morning, hundreds of soldiers marched or drove along the route between the palace and Westminster Abbey, where King Charles III. and his wife Camilla will be celebrated by spectators on Saturday. A number of horses, instruments and the two golden chariots were used in the rehearsal for the procession.

The seasoned Royal fans, who have already pitched their tents along the route and want to camp there until the weekend, were able to test their view of what happened for the first time. Despite the night, many of the soldiers’ relatives, journalists and other curious people also came to watch the night spectacle and to catch a first glimpse of the more than 260 years old and weighing several tons Golden State Coach, which after 3 a.m. arrived past Buckingham in the morning.
