The dog was rescued a few days ago in Pennsylvaniaafter she suffered an apparent drug overdose, which her owner would have procured for her.
Emergency veterinary services administered Narcan to the dog to remove him from the sensitive box in which he was found.
The small poodle, known as Toddles, had to be carried by a group of volunteers to the emergency veterinary hospital Plavi biserbecause they suspected he had overdosed on fentanyl.
Rescuers reported finding Toodles with his owner while they were both unconscious on a street in Kensington, Philadelphia.
Local police rushed to the area and helped the man, while volunteers took the pet away.
After proper veterinary treatment, the Pennsylvania Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals accepted the pet.
“Toodles could have died. The impact on his health could be long-lasting due to the medications he was taking. But today he is safe and has a new future ahead of him,” the institution announced.
The organization describes the dog’s recovery as miraculous, but regrets the delicate situation it had to go through.
They call for attention so that people treat their pets responsibly are under your care.
