In France, a young person was arrested after a dead girl († 5) was found. Mayor Jean-Pierre Michel said the five-year-old’s lifeless body was found in an apartment in the eastern part of the country’s Rambervillers commune.
The girl’s parents had recently reported their daughter missing, Michel told the French news agency AFP on Tuesday.
The suspected perpetrator was known to the police
According to the newspaper “La Republicain Lorrain”, the body was found about a hundred meters from the girl’s house. Rambervillers is located in the Vosges. The arrested youth was 15 or 16 years old, Michel said. According to police sources, he was taken into custody in the apartment where the body was found.
According to the mayor, the youngster was known to authorities for “acts related to sexual abuse” of young children. “Le Republicain Lorrain” reported that the boy had psychological problems and was placed in a “special institution” until a few weeks ago. (SDA)
