Duchess Meghan defends herself against the media. The British Telegraph recently reported that she had sent a letter to her father-in-law, King Charles III. In which she reportedly wrote that she was concerned about an “unconscious bias” within the royals. She therefore contributed to her decision not to attend Charles’ coronation on 6 May. Prince Harry’s wife now describes this as “wrong” and “ridiculous”.

Her rep explained, according to CNN, that she “lives her life in the present and doesn’t think about correspondence from two years ago that relates to conversations from four years ago.” He continued, “Any other suggestion (regarding the letter) is false and downright ridiculous.” In addition, she calls on the tabloid media and royal reporters to “put an end to the annoying circus they organize themselves”.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan said in a TV interview with American talk icon Oprah Winfrey in the spring of 2021 that there were “concerns and discussions about how shady Archies [der Sohn des Paares, Anm. d. Red.] skin could be when he is born». In the letter to Charles, she allegedly wrote which family member made the exact statement and stated that the comment was “not maliciously made”. It would have been a reply to Charles’s letter, expressing his sorrow that the family was so broken.

Prince Harry will attend the coronation of King Charles III. head to London’s Westminster Abbey on May 6 – but don’t sit up front with the family. His son Archie celebrates his fourth birthday on this day. Duchess Meghan is therefore allowed to stay with her children, in addition to Archie, the couple also has the youngest daughter Lilibet in their adopted home in the US state of California.
