According to media reports, Ballermann’s bars were busier at the start of the party season in Mallorca than they have been for a long time. From Friday, the cult bars really got going again. The “Beer King” was bursting at the seams, the “Mallorca Zeitung” reported on Saturday.
According to the “Mallorca Magazin”, dozens of artists will perform in the huge bar during four days: Roberto Silver, Peter Wackel, Mia Julia, Julian Sommer, Dorfrocker, Unnormal, Sabbotage, Tim Toupet, Spektakel, Asphalt Anton, Kreisligalegende, Zipfelbuben, Rumbombe or Apron (“Layla”), just to name a few.
First big party after winter
“Working in the Bierkönig has never been so much fun,” the “Mallorca Zeitung” quoted a well-known DJ as saying. In a few days, the “Megapark”, the largest dance temple on the Ballermann, will follow.
For many party-goers, it’s the first big party after winter, which is why they over-celebrate. A year ago it was particularly bad. There were riots. Nothing was initially known about party excesses this year.
New rules
The discotheques are increasingly trying not to let the parties get completely out of hand. Drinking tourism is no longer desirable on Mallorca. Last year, the nightclubs adopted a code of conduct, according to which drunks are no longer allowed to enter and a minimum of clothing is required.
Songs about sex, alcohol and drugs are no longer allowed to get a stage in the “Megapark”. Substantial investments have been made in a laser show that should evoke glamorous parties on the neighboring island of Ibiza. There will also be a number of new artists performing. (SDA/a)
