Poland will also have a base in its country to maintain the Leopard
US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austinannounced this Friday the rapid arrival in Germany of Abrams battle tanks intended for Ukraine so that Ukrainian soldiers could train their operation, according to Efe.
Armored vehicles, equivalent to the Leopard, but manufactured in the United States, will reach German territory “Next Weeks”said Austin at the closing meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine in Ramstein (West Germany).
At the same meeting, Kraków, Kiev and Berlin agreed that, due to the proximity of Ukraine, they would create a maintenance base for Leopard tanks in Poland, since they require specialized supervision due to their technology.
