The plane dropped a bomb on Blegorod, near the Ukrainian border, causing a powerful explosion and injuring several people.
The accidentally dropped ammunition from a Russian fighter caused a powerful explosion in the Russian city of Belgorodnear the border with Ukraine, resulting in at least three injuries, according to local authorities.
“On April 20, 2023, around 10:15 p.m. Moscow time, during the flight of the aircraft su-34 Aerospace Forces over the city of Belgorod came to abnormal fall of aviation ammunition“, the Russian Ministry of Defense explained. The government has confirmed in residential buildings, but without notifying the victimsand indicated that the investigation is already underway.
For his part, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov explained that the explosion left a hole radius of 20 meters on the main street in the city and damaged four apartments in the building and four vehicles.
Initially, Gladkov reported two injuries, but increased the number of victims of this incident to three, although none of them are in serious condition. He also explained that all people affected by damage to nearby buildings have already been evacuated from the area. The governor indicated on his Telegram account that local authorities will work to restore normalcy in the area affected by the explosion in the coming days.
