The climate activists are driving the drivers in Berlin insane. Protesters again blocked traffic on Thursday.
A video circulating on social media shows how the situation escalated shortly after the blockades announced by the protest group “Last Generation” began.
With wild honking, two men try to drag the protesters off the street. At the same time, a motorcyclist almost runs over one of the air conditioning stickers. Right in front of the demonstrators, two other men yell at each other.
The activists started their actions on Wednesday. The group said they wanted to “bring the city to a peaceful halt”. What they have now certainly succeeded in: creating chaos.
The last generation demands advice
800 activists signed up for it. The protest will not end until the German government complies with the group’s demands.
For example, a social council with random members is developing measures to ensure that Germany no longer uses fossil fuels such as oil, coal and gas from 2030 onwards. Scientists and politicians are skeptical that this would be possible as soon as possible. (nad)
