Anti-war chants at a concert in Moscow

At a concert of the band “Naiv” in Moscow on April 15, there were anti-war chants. The reason was a call from frontman Alexander Ivanov. He asked the public to learn more about the case of Maria Moskalyova.

The performance of the band «Naiv» took place in the Moscow club «1930». Ivanov, who now lives in the US, appeared in a T-shirt that read “Masha Moskalyova” and instructed the public to google her case. It doesn’t leave him alone, maybe because he also has a daughter of the same age.

The Moskalyova case

The case of Maria (or «Masha») Moskalyova made headlines a year ago, in April 2022. Maria, then 13, drew a picture of the war in Ukraine in a pro-Ukrainian light at school.

The school management then informed the authorities, who in turn investigated Moskalyova’s father Alexei. And found critical remarks about the war from him. He was then sentenced to two years in prison. Mary had to go home.

She would have left by now. The authorities are said to have tracked down her mother, with whom she now lives. (lzo)
