Four climate activists and one climate activist were sentenced to prison terms in Heilbronn on Monday. According to a spokesman for the court, custodial sentences have been imposed for coercion. Two of them are behind bars for three months, one for four months and another for five months. Only one of the shorter sentences received suspended probation, the others without probation.
Because three of the four suspects in the trial had emphasized that they wanted to keep blocking roads, the prison sentences were imposed. “You’ve indicated that nothing else impresses you.”
Heilbronn is participating in a model project in Baden-Württemberg testing accelerated processes.
