In early April, the crime shocked people far beyond Germany’s borders. A mother (33) is stabbed in a Berlin bus and is seriously injured. Her two daughters (7 and 9) have to watch.
The suspected perpetrator was later arrested by the police. Authorities initially assumed the woman was an accidental victim. Because the children have stated that they never saw the man.
Mother wakes up from coma and says the name
But now it’s coming out: the attack would have been a family drama. The stinger is said to be the woman’s half-brother, as the “image” reports. The victim awoke from the coma and confirmed this to the police.
As the newspaper reports, citing the brother of the victim (22), the perpetrator was from their father’s first marriage. The father then separated and started a family with a new wife. The offender was jealous of the new family.
When one of his sisters died of a stroke, the perpetrator decided that his father’s new family would also have to endure such pain. “He wanted our father’s new family to suffer, to feel the loss,” says the brother.
Daughters knew no perpetrators
The perpetrator then carries out his plan. He is waiting for his new family at the Leopoldplatz stop. Then he gets on the bus. According to “Bild”, the perpetrator stabbed the woman a total of seven times, injuring her heart, stomach and lungs.
While other passengers tend to the seriously injured, the perpetrator escapes from the bus at the Nauener Platz stop. Two days later he was finally arrested.
The two daughters initially said they had never seen the perpetrator. In fact, the perpetrator and the victim had little contact, the “image” reports. There had already been several reports of violent attacks against the man.
A sister of the victim tells the newspaper “Bild” that the victim’s condition is stable. “We’ll know in a few days when she can come home.” (zis)
