A man in Denmark is said to have kidnapped, held and raped a 13-year-old newspaper delivery girl for more than a day. The teenager did not come home on Saturday after her time off in the town of Kirkerup on the Danish island of Zealand. Her bicycle, her bag and her phone were then found by the side of the road. A huge search was started in which more than 600 tips were received by the detectives.
Defendant makes partial confession
More than 24 hours later, the police finally found Filippa N.* and her alleged kidnapper in a house about half an hour’s drive from Kirkerup. The girl’s mother wrote on Facebook on Sunday that her daughter is “doing well” under the circumstances: “27 hours of nightmare are over”.
The suspect is detained on Monday after an appointment with the investigating judge. According to his lawyer, the 32-year-old has admitted part of the crime. According to the public prosecutor, there could be another accomplice at large. (nad/SDA)
