The current “Playboy” edition.

The magazine ‘Playboy’ with the French Secretary of State Marlène Schiappa (40) on the front page has become a bestseller.

The 100,000 copies were sold out within three hours on the day of publication and 60,000 are now being reprinted, “Playboy” director Jean-Christophe Florentin said Monday in Paris at the France Info station. Normally only about 30,000 copies of an edition would be sold.

Even though it was already known that there were no nude photos of the politician, there was a rush for the issue with a humorous interview with Schiappa, who received a lot of criticism for her ‘Playboy’ performance.

The secretary of state posed for the magazine in a white dress and spoke about feminism and women’s rights. In the interview, she answered questions such as “Is politics a pleasure?”, “Is it a pleasure to exercise power?” and “Are you a temptress?”
