The holiday island of Fuerteventura is in shock. Last Thursday, a German couple was found dead in their hotel room.

The Canary Island of Fuerteventura is the holiday paradise par excellence. The countless tourists enjoy themselves in the sun, warmth and beautiful beaches.

But there is not much holiday feeling on the island. The reason for the bad mood: two bodies found in a hotel room.

Investigation points to a relationship crime

According to media reports, it concerns a married couple from Germany. The two were found last Thursday in Club Aldiana, a hotel complex in the south of the island.

As the “Fuerteventura Zeitung” reports, the first investigations point to a relationship crime. The woman († 42) is said to have been killed by her husband († 42) with a hard blow to the head with a blunt object. He would have taken his own life with a plastic bag over his head. However, authorities are not currently ruling out double homicide or suicide.
