Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes a “tar miner” to his neighbors

Mister Universe, Hollywood actor, former governor of California and now city employee? Arnold Schwarzenegger is versatile and let us know.

In a video shared on his Twitter account on April 11, Arnie is seen armed with a shovel as he repairs a very large pothole that has been bothering neighbors in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles for several weeks.

Schwarzenegger writes of his social media video:

“I always say don’t complain, but do something about it. Voila.”

During the voluntary roadworks, a motorist even thanked the former governor and his team (consisting of three friends). A Schwarzenegger spokesperson told the Associated Press that Brentwood residents have repeatedly asked for the road to be repaired.

But LA seems to have plenty of other holes to fill. The Department of Highways has received nearly 20,000 requests for highway work since December, according to the LA Times. So Arnie had to come here. And he was quite qualified for that, because he has real experience in the construction industry. When he came to the United States in 1968, he and his friend, Italian bodybuilder Franco Columbu, had founded a bricklaying company called European Brick Works. Despite 55 years and two career changes, he knows how to find his way with a shovel and trowel. (lzo)
